Overview — what is the Trezor® Wallet?
The Trezor® Wallet is a physical hardware device that secures cryptocurrency private keys offline. By keeping private keys inside dedicated hardware, the device prevents malware or compromised computers from stealing signatures — you confirm every transaction on the device itself.
First steps: trezor.io/start, Suite & Bridge
Begin at trezor.io/start. That official entry page will guide you to download the correct packages and begin setup. The two main apps are:
- Trezor® Suite App — desktop and web client for managing wallets, sending/receiving crypto, and updating firmware. Search for Trezor® Suite Download on the official start page.
- Trezor® Bridge — a small background service that enables browser and Suite to talk to the device. If your computer asks for Bridge, choose the official Trezor® Bridge Download.
Logging in & common sign-in problems
There is no cloud login for the device — access is via the PIN you set and the physical device. Common issues include:
- Trezor login not working / Unable to login Trezor: Verify you are entering the correct PIN and that the device screen matches the Suite prompts.
- Trezor Suite App not Working / Error Connecting Trezor Account: Ensure Bridge is running, try a different USB cable/port, and temporarily disable browser extensions blocking USB.
- Can't verify Trezor® Wallet: Use Suite’s verification flow and confirm the device displays the same fingerprint/words as Suite shows.
Account recovery & security notes
If you lose your device, recovery depends entirely on your recovery seed (12–24 words). Store your seed offline — never photograph it or enter it into websites. There is no central Trezor® 2FA reset process; reset procedures are handled by the external services you connect (exchanges, email providers).
Troubleshooting checklist
- Install the official Trezor® Suite and Bridge from trezor.io/start.
- Try a new USB cable and port; avoid USB hubs if possible.
- Reboot computer and relaunch Suite; close conflicting applications (VPNs, security tools).
- Update device firmware via Suite when prompted — follow on-device confirmations.
- Consult Trezor® Help Center for device-specific repair/recovery flows.
